Our firm’s involvement in the Project Management of this ambitious scheme started in 2015 with our company’s manager Andreas Evripidou acting as the Technical Director (TD) of the project until the end of 2021. Throughout this period, he managed the project’s design process as well as subsequent tender procedure and construction activities whilst reporting to and providing relevant input to the Client’s management.

Among other responsibilities, the TD was in charge of the supervision all design disciplines for the issuance of the necessary permits and construction drawings for tendering purposes, the review of the tender documents to ensure their comprehensiveness and adequacy, the preselection of potential contractors, the evaluation of financial and technical proposals and negotiations with the tenderers and finally the selection of the most suitable contractor for each phase of the development.

During the construction stage, inter alia, the Technical Director (TD) oversaw and monitored the construction schedule and budget and checked the quality of the works while managing all associated design (IFC, Shop Drawings, etc) and supervision activities being carried out by the consultants and contractors. Furthermore, the TD coordinated with and maintained a continuous communication channel with the project Engineer to ensure the accuracy of decisions and the efficient and smooth progress of the construction activities. In this context, Andreas Evripidou also advised the Client on the commercial and technical impact as well as on the most suitable way forward in relation to claims and variations, value engineering opportunities, design changes, etc.
