Costa Palona is a Medium Rise Residential building that will provide luxury living in the heart of the bustling city of Limassol. Located in a region with high seismic activity along with strong winds, this new project sets multiple structural challenges. Opting for the most economically optimized structural system, concrete shear walls were utilized for the laterally resisting system whereas concrete columns were considered to withstand only gravity loads.
